Productive day at my wood merchant - supplies of American Ash & Sapele boards in the process of being rendered down to usable sizes. Here is an pic of what an Iona bass looks like from the raw materials in a dusty corner of the workshop.

Prep

Prepping new IONA basses today. A blank of Sapele for necks along with a prepared neck with truss rod installed awaiting fingerboard. Hand slotting a Wenge fingerboard blank on the right. All of our basses are 100% hand made to ensure quality from start to finish. #ionabass #eveguitars

We are very proud to announce our new member of the Eve range - IONA. We have been working on this instrument for the last eight months, and it has turned out 'insanely great'. Built from the ground up for playability, this stunning design has rounded elegant curves that hug the body in any playing position. The upper horn guarantees the best playing position whether standing or sitting, and is perfectly balanced. Utilising Sapele, Ash & Wenge for the construction ensures a wide tonal range with plenty of bite courtesy of the 2-band active EQ and Eve® Jazz + Humbucker pickup arrangement. Headstock

After months of careful deliberation and design after re-design, we are pleased to showcase the new Eve headstock design. As of today, all new instruments will now come with our new standard. We hope you like this this as much as we do, and will confirm our unique identity.

Several necks in various stages of production.

Almost complete

Final 'fitting' to make sure everything is as it should be before final sanding and the first coat of oil is applied today. There will be several coats over the coming week or so, then it has to crystallise before wet-sanding and buffing before paste wax can be applied.

ProBass Lefty

Just completed a 34" scale Left-Handed "Custom" ProBass today. Heading out for wiring then off to the customer in the next few days.

Working on a new 6-string Elite today. This one will be 24 fretted with dual Eve Soapbar pickups & active circuit.

Also in the works is a left-handed ProBass with two Jazz pickups and active circuit.
